Privacy Notice
Short version: we collect what we need to run your Perksent account, and we never sell it. On public pages, Meta receives visit information for advertising and measurement as described below.
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This is a working draft notice for our early launch. It hasn't gone through formal legal review yet, and we'll update it before we're fully live.
What we collect
When you create an account: your email address.
If you use Perksent as a customer: your name, an optional phone number, and a record of the perks you claim and redeem.
If you register a business: the business name, category, description, address, map location, contact person and the perks you post.
Shop requests
We store the shop you suggest and, if you give it, your email, only to gauge demand, contact that shop, and tell you when it joins. We don't publish requests or share your email with the shop.
If you give your first name and tick the consent box, we may tell that shop you asked for them. Otherwise your name is never shared.
Why we collect it
To operate the service: signing you in, showing perks near you, letting you claim a perk and collect points, letting a business verify a claim, and letting business owners manage their listing.
We don't send your account details to Meta for advertising, and we never sell them.
Advertising and measurement
On our public pages (home, For businesses, How it works, sign-in/sign-up, Privacy and Merchant Terms), we use the Meta Pixel. This lets Meta receive information about your visit: pages viewed, device/browser information, and whether you signed up for a business account or joined the customer waitlist or submitted a shop request. Meta uses this to measure and show our ads, including to past visitors.
We don't send your name, email, phone or account details. The Pixel is not used inside your account (dashboard, claims, points or profile), or on password-reset pages. Meta may receive your IP address and advertising cookies when permitted.
We show no consent banner: all Meta tracking is blocked where advertising consent is required or your region cannot be determined. Elsewhere, we honor browser Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and a saved advertising opt-out. Ad clicks and impressions can still be counted by Meta.
You can control ad personalisation in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings or block cookies in your browser. You can also disable our advertising measurement in this browser below; this saves your refusal and stops future Pixel events, including in other open tabs. Questions: hello@perksent.com.
Who can see it
You — your own account, profile, claims and points.
A business you claim a perk at — only your name, and only for the claim you made at that business, so their staff can verify it at the counter. They never see your email or phone number.
Perksent staff — business listings submitted for approval, and aggregate statistics only (totals and daily counts). Staff analytics views cannot show individual customer records.
Your choices
You can view and edit your name and phone number any time on your profile screen.
You can contact us to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. Email privacy@perksent.app and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
Keeping it safe
Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access rules enforced at the database level, so accounts can only read their own records.
